Ivan Van Norman here! And man, it’s been one amazing, incredible, absolutely astounding International Tabletop Day 2017. From all the great games to the amazing guests and the thousands of events around the world (yes, it was really international), ITTD 2017 was a huge success thanks to YOU! Yes, to the person reading this post right now, you helped to make this Tabletop Day possible.
First off, there’s a lot of thanks to hand out. Thank you to everyone from developers, publishers, and distributors brings your games and hard work to the table this year. You helped us reach out farther than we could even imagine this year. We couldn’t have done it without you.
To all the stores and events that opened your door and helped to setup the tables, you are the heroes of Tabletop Day. Bringing together a community is never easy, but you welcomed us and thousands of others into your business to help celebrate the big day. With every open seat, you welcomed a new member of the board gaming community, brought forth a new adventure, and changed someone’s life with just a roll of the dice. We thank you again for making Tabletop Day a reality.
We would like to thank each one of you who went out and shares your love of gaming with others. And for those of you who watched our 18-hour stream, we want to thank our amazing guests who took the time to play in front of our camera, thank you to the crew who kept the cameras running, and to all the viewers who cheered us on.
Thank you to our main sponsors who made International Tabletop Day possible:
And it goes without say, thank you again for all your help to make this Tabletop Day the best yet. For each of you who cheered us on, for each of you who taught someone a new game, for any of you who donated to our Extra Life super group, and for each of you who walked into a store for the first time and played just one game; you are why we have International Tabletop Day and while we’ll work hard every year to make it better than the last.
I’m taking the next couple of weeks off, but expect to hear from me sooner than you expect with news, stories, and more than a few surprises. Until then; roll dice and play nice.
